Thasos and Chalkidiki featured in new Greek travel series

The travel programme “Akis' Food Tour” follows presenter Akis Petrezikis as he explores the Greek island of Thasos. The episode, aired on 28 June, highlights the island’s coastal scenery, marble workshops, local tavernas and traditional dishes such as stuffed vegetables, octopus cooked in the sun, and regional sweets.

A separate report from the series “Where Greece Is” documents a visit to Chalkidiki. It presents the region’s dense forests, sea routes, and the semi‑open agricultural prison at Kassandras where inmates work, study and acquire skills for reintegration. The piece also showcases local forestry, timber work, and recreational activities such as snorkeling in the crystal‑clear waters.
