The Acolyte: Scrapped Season 2 storylines and connections revealed

Reports have revealed planned storylines for a second season of the Disney+ series ‘The Acolyte’ following its cancellation after one season. According to Knight Edge Media, showrunner Leslye Headland had developed a series bible and episode outlines for subsequent seasons.

Season 2 was intended to take place one year after the first season. Plot details included Osha participating in a gladiator ring run by the Hutts, where she was set to slay a Hutt named Brigo. The season would have explored Qimir’s origins and his connection to Jedi Master Vernestra Rwoh, who was previously his master.

The narrative was expected to deepen the connection to the Skywalker Saga by focusing on a Sith conspiracy involving Darth Plagueis. Qimir and Osha would have been manipulated by Plagueis as part of a larger plan. Additionally, the reports suggest the season would have featured the first on-screen sexual encounter in the ‘Star Wars’ franchise.
