The Afghan Whigs release tenth studio album ‘Soft Control’

The Afghan Whigs have released their tenth studio album, titled ‘Soft Control’, via Royal Cream/BMG. The record features 10 tracks selected from over 20 songs composed by frontman Greg Dulli. The album was recorded across various locations, including Joshua Tree, New Orleans, East Hollywood, and Cincinnati.

Musically, the album maintains the band’s signature blend of rock, soul, and R&B, characterized by heavy guitars and cinematic textures. Critics have noted the album’s balance of intensity and reflection, marking a more mature and serene perspective from Dulli compared to the band’s earlier work.

The band is scheduled to embark on tours in North America this fall, as well as in the UK and Europe during September and October.
