The Age Good Food Guide 2027 honors Ainslie Lubbock and Hugh Allen

The Age Good Food Guide 2027 has announced its latest recipients, recognizing excellence in hospitality and culinary leadership in Australia.

Ainslie Lubbock has been awarded the Oceania Cruises Service Excellence award. Overseeing service at Pt. Leo Estate on the Mornington Peninsula, Lubbock manages a diverse range of dining experiences, including the tasting-menu restaurant Laura, the 110-seat Pt. Leo Restaurant, and the Wine Terrace. She is noted for her mentorship of young staff and her expertise as a sommelier.

Hugh Allen has been named Chef of the Year. Allen currently oversees two three-hat restaurants: Yiaga and Vue de Monde. The award recognizes his creative approach to dining, characterized by a deep curiosity regarding nature, craft, and unique ingredient pairings.
