The Asylum releases sci-fi disaster film Meteor Extinction

The sci-fi disaster thriller ‘Meteor Extinction’ has been released by The Asylum. Starring Daniel Baldwin, the film follows a race against time to prevent a six-mile-wide meteor from destroying Earth.

The plot centers on a celestial threat composed of a rare element that turns into molten magma when heated, rendering standard planetary defense systems ineffective. With only six days until impact, Baldwin’s character attempts to reunite an elite group known as the ‘React Team’ to alter the meteor’s trajectory.

Directed by Anthony C. Ferrante, the film features a mission involving orbital lasers called ‘Sentinels.’ The attempt to break down the meteor results in the rock splitting into three distinct pieces. The story concludes with a mother-daughter duo venturing into space in a final effort to stop the impending destruction.
