The Avalanches announce new album ‘No Bad Memories’

The Avalanches have announced their fourth studio album, ‘No Bad Memories’, scheduled for release on October 16. This marks the group’s first new album in six years, following 2020’s ‘We Will Always Love You’.

The 31-track project explores the intersection of nostalgia and commercialism, specifically how advertising, jingles, and brand technology influence human memory. The band described the concept as transforming corporate sound fragments into joyous pop music.

To coincide with the announcement, the group released the single ‘Can’t Get Over Losing You’, featuring Louisiana-based artist Portraits of Tracy. The album features a wide array of collaborators, including Karen O, Jamie xx, Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza, and Prentiss.
