The Bahamas and India provide medical donations to Cuba

The Bahamas has initiated a humanitarian effort to support Cuba by sending the first of three planned shipments of medications specifically for pediatric cancer treatment. The announcement was made at Nassau Lynden Pindling International Airport by Bahamian Health Minister Michael Darville and Cuban Ambassador Juan Carlos Marcof Sánchez.

In a separate instance of international support, a delegation of social organizations from India has traveled to Cuba to donate medicines intended for cardiovascular and oncological hospitals. This donation is part of an ongoing campaign of solidarity between the two nations.

Cuban officials noted that these medical contributions arrive during a difficult period for the country's healthcare system, citing challenges in accessing essential supplies.
