The Batman: Part II confirms Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan as new cast members

The Batman: Part II Scarlett Johansson Sebastian Stan Matt Reeves cast announcement

Director Matt Reeves announced on X in May 2026 that Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan have joined the sequel The Batman: Part II. Johansson is expected to portray Gilda Dent, while Stan is widely anticipated to play district attorney Harvey Dent. Additional cast additions include Brian Tyree Henry, Sebastian Koch, Charles Dance and Charles Dance, joining returning stars Robert Pattinson, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Jayme Lawson and Gil Perez‑Abraham.

Production is underway in the United Kingdom and the film is slated for theatrical release on October 1 2027. Reeves has hinted that the sequel will feature a winter setting in Gotham, following the aftermath of the first film’s events.
