The Batman Part II production reveals costume and set details
Production for the sequel to Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ has resumed in Glasgow, Scotland, with new set footage providing glimpses of the film’s direction and costume design.
Leaked images from the set show a version of the Batsuit being worn by stunt performer Rick English. The armor appears to maintain the heavy, artisanal aesthetic established in the 2022 film, featuring a prominent black chest emblem and a utility belt composed of various pouches rather than futuristic technology. The suit seen in the footage includes a dark long coat and a cap used to partially conceal the character.
Additional footage from the set depicts a scene involving Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth. The clip shows Alfred, played by Andy Serkis, performing CPR on a handcuffed Bruce Wayne, who is not in his Batman costume at the time. The sequence suggests a plot point where Wayne is targeted personally rather than as the Caped Crusader. The film, directed by Reeves from a script by himself and Mattson Tomlin, is expected to release in 2028.
