The working title for the upcoming sequel to Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ has been officially confirmed as ‘Semper Vigilans’. The Latin phrase translates to ‘always vigilant’ or ‘ever watchful’.

While Warner Bros. and DC Studios have not disclosed specific plot details, the title has led to widespread speculation among fans regarding the film's antagonists. Many suggest the phrase refers to the Court of Owls, a secretive criminal organization from DC Comics composed of Gotham City’s elite. The connection is drawn from comic book lore, specifically a nursery rhyme that describes the group as watching constantly from the shadows.

Robert Pattinson is set to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne, with Jeffrey Wright returning as Lieutenant Jim Gordon.
