The Bear concludes with final season on Disney+

The FX drama The Bear released its fifth and final season on Disney+ on 26 June 2026. Created by Christopher Storer, the eight‑part season follows the aftermath of chef Carmy’s departure, focusing on a single chaotic day in which the remaining team struggles with a storm, equipment failures and dwindling supplies while trying to keep the restaurant afloat. The narrative returns to a real‑time “one‑shift” format and culminates in the kitchen earning two Michelin stars under new leader Sydney.

Critical response has been overwhelmingly positive, with a 98 % approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and praise for the tight storytelling and emotional payoff. Reviewers highlighted the season’s focus on character relationships and the “Pitt” approach that makes the binge‑watch model work.

To promote the finale, Disney+ partnered with the Michelin Guide for a special event in Paris on 25 June 2026 at the restaurant Caché. Three Michelin‑starred chefs from Chicago crafted a unique menu, and cast members including Lionel Boyce joined influencers and cultural figures, underscoring the series’ blend of pop culture and haute cuisine.
