The Bear to End with Fifth Season on Hulu and Disney+
FX’s critically acclaimed drama *The Bear* will conclude with its fifth season, releasing all eight episodes on Hulu in the United States on June 25 and on Disney+ in the United Kingdom the following day. The series creator Christopher Storer confirmed that the decision to end the show was creative, noting that the story had reached its natural endpoint after protagonist Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) quits the kitchen, leaving Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss‑Bachrach) and Sugar (Abby Elliott) to run the restaurant.
The final season follows the staff’s effort to keep the sandwich shop afloat, pursue a Michelin star and confront financial pressures. The show, which has earned 21 Emmy Awards, will also feature a surprise flashback episode “Gary” that aired earlier. In related coverage, actor Edwin Lee Gibson, who plays line‑cook Ebraheim, reflected on his character’s growth and the emotional impact of working alongside the late Rob Reiner, saying the series “has become a global immigrant story.” Gibson hinted that Ebra will have an expanded role in the concluding season.
The Bear’s ending marks the close of a series praised for its intense kitchen drama and its portrayal of family, grief and ambition within the culinary world.
