The Beatles biopics to be released as four films in April 2028

Sam Mendes is directing a series of four individual Beatles biopics, which Sony Pictures Entertainment plans to release throughout April 2028. Producer Pippa Harris of Neal Street Productions explained at the London Film Festival that the films are intended to be experienced as a cinematic event within the same month, allowing audiences to watch them weekly or in clusters.

Each film will focus on a different member of the band. The cast includes Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr. While Harris noted that the films function as independent stories, she stated they possess a ‘cumulative power that is greater than the sum of its parts.’

Production is currently on its 180th day of filming. Actors have been instructed to avoid discussing the project in public appearances.
