The Bibi Files documentary premieres in Italian cinemas

The documentary ‘The Bibi Files’, directed by Alexis Bloom and produced by Alex Gibney, has launched in approximately 130 Italian cinemas. The film utilizes leaked police interrogation recordings from 2016 to 2018 regarding corruption investigations involving Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his wife Sara, his son Yair, and various associates.

Due to Israeli laws prohibiting the unauthorized publication of police interrogation recordings, the documentary cannot be legally distributed within Israel. This legal restriction was previously a point of contention at the Toronto International Film Festival, where Netanyahu sought a court injunction to block the screening, though the request was denied by a judge.

The film, which features material provided to producers by an anonymous source, examines the intersection of the corruption probe and the broader Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
