Rebel Wolves launches The Blood of Dawnwalker RPG

Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by industry veterans including former CD Projekt Red staff, has released its debut dark fantasy action RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker. Published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Set in a fictional 14th-century Europe, the story follows Coen, a protagonist who becomes a Dawnwalker—a being that is human by day and a vampire by night. The gameplay features a central day-night cycle that influences combat, abilities, and exploration. A key mechanic involves a 30-day time limit to complete objectives and save Coen's family, a system that has prompted both praise for its tension and the creation of community mods to extend the duration.

Following the September 3 launch, Rebel Wolves released an initial hotfix to address controller input issues, quest bugs, and technical performance such as shader crashes and stuttering. The game has received generally positive critical reception, with Metacritic scores exceeding 80 across various platforms.
