The 38th edition of The Bodrum Cup has commenced in Muğla, Turkey, featuring 90 boats and approximately 1,000 sailors. The five-stage competition, held between October 19 and 24, 2026, covers a total course of 79 nautical miles.

The event began with the SumOne stage, a 12-nautical-mile route around Bodrum. The second stage, sponsored by Ruins Luxury Resort, saw the fleet navigate a 20-nautical-mile route from Bodrum to Knidos. This stage marks the return of Knidos to the competition route after a hiatus, offering participants the opportunity to visit the Knidos Ancient City.

Prior to the first start, a memorial ceremony was held to honor sailors and friends of The Bodrum Cup who passed away this year. The organization is supported by various sponsors, including OPET, Anadolu Sigorta, and Four Seasons Hotels Istanbul.
