Soap opera updates: Casting changes in Days of Our Lives and Bold and the Beautiful

Several daytime soap operas are undergoing significant casting changes and plot developments. In ‘Days of Our Lives’, the DiMera family is seeing major recasts with Cole Gersmeyer joining as Thomas DiMera and Pippa Blaylock debuting as Charlotte DiMera starting August 25.

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ features the arrival of Kelly Sullivan as Darcy Dylan, who enters the scene to defend her daughter, Melissa Dylan, against Katie Logan and Electra Forrester. Meanwhile, character tensions rise as RJ Forrester proposes replacing Hope Spencer with Electra Forrester at Forrester Creations. Additional drama involves Steffy Forrester and Carter Walton attempting to hide a secret from Ridge Forrester.

Actor Crew Morrow, known for playing Will Spencer on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’, is also expanding his career with a role in the upcoming film ‘Wildcards’, scheduled for release on August 28.
