The Boogeyman horror film arrives on Netflix

The horror film ‘The Boogeyman’, directed by Rob Savage, has arrived on Netflix. Based on Stephen King’s 1973 short story from the collection ‘Night Shift’, the film follows the Harper family as they encounter a supernatural entity after a psychiatric patient, Lester Billings (played by David Dastmalchian), claims a creature killed his children.

Starring Sophie Thatcher and Vivien Lyra Blair as sisters dealing with their mother’s death, the movie was originally intended for Hulu. However, following successful test screenings, 20th Century Studios opted for a theatrical release in June 2023, which ultimately grossed $67 million worldwide.
