The Boys: Character inspirations from DC Comics

The superhero group ‘The Seven’ from the series ‘The Boys’ draws significant inspiration from DC Comics characters, particularly members of the Justice League. Unlike the traditional heroes of DC, the members of ‘The Seven’ acquired their abilities through ‘Compound V’ and often prioritize personal glory and corporate profit for Vought over global safety.

Key character inspirations include Homelander, who mirrors Superman’s powers such as flight, super strength, and heat vision, while also incorporating elements of Captain America through his name and uniform. Queen Maeve is noted for her similarities to Wonder Woman, possessing superhuman strength, durability, and agility.
