The Broad museum to host major exhibition in Paris
The Broad museum in Los Angeles has announced a major exhibition titled “The Broad Collection — Los Angeles in Paris,” which will feature 164 works at the Fondation Louis Vuitton. Scheduled to run from April 21 through August 30, 2027, the exhibition marks the largest presentation of the museum’s collection outside of Los Angeles.
The exhibition will showcase postwar and contemporary American art, including works by Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Roy Lichtenstein, Cindy Sherman, and Keith Haring. It will also feature artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, and various Los Angeles-based artists.
The move coincides with a significant expansion project at The Broad’s downtown Los Angeles location. The $100-million expansion aims to increase gallery space by 70% and is scheduled to open in 2028, ahead of the Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games. During the construction process, the museum will also partner with the nonprofit Art + Practice in Leimert Park to share resources and works.
