The Cedars estate proposes new padel court in Wales

Plans have been submitted to Monmouthshire County Council to install a padel court at The Cedars, a £2.7 million Victorian estate in Llanbadoc, near Usk.

The proposed court would be smaller than a standard tennis court and positioned near the main house, providing access from the existing indoor gym and swimming pool. The design includes mesh fence panels on the sides and safety glass screens at each end to allow for ball rebounding. The playing surface is intended to be an all-weather, water-permeable ‘astro turf’.

To minimize environmental impact, the application specifies that the location was chosen to avoid existing trees and shrubs on the property. The estate already features luxury amenities, including a stable block and a fishing lake.
