The Challenge reality series highlights contestant disqualifications and competitive strategies

The reality competition series ‘The Challenge’, airing on Paramount+, has a history of contestant disqualifications stemming from various altercations and rule violations. Past incidents include Ayanna Mackins being removed following a confrontation involving racial slurs, Steven Hill being ousted after a physical altercation during ‘Battle of the Sexes 2’, and Tina Barta being disqualified for punching a fellow contestant.

In recent developments for ‘The Challenge: Cutthroat’, contestant Cara Maria Sorbello discussed her competitive strategy during the episode ‘A Captain’s Worst Nightmare’. Sorbello indicated she would not intentionally lose a challenge to protect lower-ranked teammates, such as Will Gagnon and Justin Hinsley, stating, ‘I don’t have it in me to throw it.’
