The Chosen season 6 trailer reveals release date and plot

The official trailer for the sixth season of the biblical drama series ‘The Chosen’ has been released by Prime Video and 5&2 Studios. The upcoming season is set to premiere on November 15, 2026, and will focus on the final 24 hours of Jesus Christ’s life, covering the events of Good Friday including his arrest, trial, and crucifixion.

Creator Dallas Jenkins described the season as the ‘climax’ of the series' narrative, noting that the production was emotionally difficult to film. The season will consist of six episodes, with the first three available upon release and subsequent episodes following weekly until December 6. The season will conclude with a feature film scheduled for theatrical release in March 2027.

Following the sixth season, a seventh and final season has already been filmed. This concluding chapter will depict the resurrection of Jesus and is expected to arrive in theaters and on streaming platforms in 2027 and 2028. The series, which began via crowdfunding, has achieved significant global reach, with distribution spanning markets including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Latin America.
