The Chosen series expands with Netflix release and new reality format

The sixth season of the American series ‘The Chosen’ is scheduled to arrive on Netflix in December 2026. While the new episodes will be available in the United States starting November 15, the exact release date for Netflix in Germany has not yet been finalized.

In preparation for the release, church screenings have been made available via Amazon Prime since September 2026. Approximately 125,000 screenings have been registered worldwide, with around 1,500 expected in German-speaking regions by December.

Additionally, Bibel TV is launching a new six-part reality format titled ‘The Chosen in the Wild’ on November 7, 2026. The program features stars from the series, including Jonathan Roumie and Elizabeth Tabish, joining survival expert Bear Grylls on expeditions through North American wilderness areas such as the Colorado River and the Adirondacks. The show aims to engage younger audiences by combining survival challenges with personal discussions regarding the actors' experiences portraying biblical figures.
