The Clash to release previously unreleased 1982 compilation

The Clash is set to release “The World According to The Clash” on November 13. Originally produced in 1982 for American radio stations just before the release of “Combat Rock”, the compilation was never intended for wide commercial distribution and is now receiving its first official commercial release.

Published by Sony Music, the collection features 11 remastered tracks, including hits such as “Rock the Casbah”, “London Calling”, “Should I Stay or Should I Go”, “Spanish Bombs”, and “The Guns of Brixton”. The tracks represent the band’s intensive five-year period involving members Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon, and Topper Headon, showcasing their evolution from punk to incorporating reggae, dub, ska, and funk.

The release will be available in digital format, CD, and limited edition vinyl in both red and orange. The orange vinyl edition will include an exclusive poster available through the Sony Music Store, while the red vinyl will be distributed via Feltrinelli and IBS.
