The Clearing House selects Quant for tokenized deposit network

The Clearing House, a bank-owned operator of major U.S. payment networks, has selected Quant to provide the technology for its On-Chain Money Initiative. Quant will supply the interoperability, orchestration, and transaction-management layer required to clear and settle tokenized deposit transactions.

The initiative aims to allow financial institutions to move digital representations of bank deposits—which retain traditional regulatory protections—across a shared network. This system is designed to support immediate settlement and automated payments that trigger when specific conditions are met. Quant’s software will also connect this new network to existing fiat payment rails, including the RTP and CHIPS networks.

While Quant will offer Tokenized Deposits-as-a-Service to institutions lacking their own capabilities, the announcement does not specify whether the QNT utility token will be required for these transactions. The network is expected to be available to participating institutions in the first half of 2027.
