Xbox Game Pass August 2026 adds Gears of War: E-Day open beta and 10 new games
Microsoft announced its August 2026 Xbox Game Pass update, featuring an open beta for Gears of War: E-Day. The beta runs from 6 August to 10 August for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, then opens to all players from 13 August to 17 August. The multiplayer test includes a 12‑player Horde Siege mode and a 4v4 competitive mode.

Minimum PC specs are Windows 10/11, an SSD with 80 GB free, and hardware roughly equivalent to a Ryzen 5 2600X with an RTX 2060, while recommended specs target a Ryzen 5 5600 with an RTX 3060 Ti.
Overall, the update expands both cooperative and competitive multiplayer options and broadens the Game Pass library with new action‑RPG, sports simulation, and indie titles.
