The Comedy About Spies returns to London's West End

The production ‘The Comedy About Spies’ has returned to London’s West End at the Adelphi Theatre following a successful run at the Noël Coward Theatre. Written by Henry Lewis and Henry Shields of Mischief Comedy, the play is a farcical pastiche of 1960s espionage thrillers.

Set in 1961 at the Piccadilly Hotel, the plot involves CIA, KGB, and MI6 agents converging to intercept stolen plans for a deadly weapon known as Project Midnight. The production is noted for its high-speed pacing, intricate physical comedy, and precise script that utilizes recurring gags and set pieces, including references to James Bond and even a submarine.

Directed by Matt DiCarlo with movement direction by Shelley Maxwell, the show has received critical acclaim for its craftsmanship and technical execution, earning an Olivier nomination and a WhatsOnStage Award.
