The Cranberries release recovered 1994 live performance
The Irish band The Cranberries has released a previously unreleased live recording titled ‘Live at The London Astoria II, 1994’. The performance, which was believed to be lost for decades, captures the band during a pivotal transition between their debut album, ‘Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?’, and their follow-up, ‘No Need to Argue’.
The setlist features 15 tracks, including hits such as ‘Linger’, ‘Dreams’, and ‘Zombie’, alongside songs like ‘Daffodil Lament’ and ‘Empty’. The recording also includes ‘Liar’ and ‘So Cold in Ireland’, two tracks that were not featured on their original studio albums.
Guitarist Noel Hogan described the night as a highlight, while drummer Fergal Lawler noted the concert took place following the band’s significant success in the United States. The release is being published by Island/UMe in various formats, including limited edition double LP vinyl, standard black vinyl, CD, and digital versions.
