The Crawling horror film premieres at FilmQuest

The science fiction horror film “The Crawling,” written and directed by Christian Everhard, held its world premiere on October 23 at FilmQuest in Provo, Utah. The story follows a married couple, Mike and Emma, who encounter an extraterrestrial being while vacationing at a remote house.

Beyond the alien encounter, the film explores complex relationship dynamics and themes of identity. The protagonist, Mike—a police officer suspended for assaulting a suspect—is designed to challenge audience perceptions of masculinity and empathy. The narrative examines the tension between Mike’s experiences with bright lights and alien visitors and Emma’s skepticism, set against the backdrop of the couple's struggle with infertility.

Creature effects for the production were provided by Steve Wang and Cleve Gunderman of Onyx Forge. The film stars Will Brittain and Katherine Hughes, with Nick Donadio handling sales representation.
