The Crypt Keeper returns to host AMC FearFest 30th anniversary

AMC FearFest Tales From the Crypt The Crypt Keeper horror programming Greg Nicotero

AMC has announced the return of the Crypt Keeper to host the 30th anniversary of its annual Halloween programming event, FearFest, starting October 1, 2026. This marks the first new content for the iconic character in 30 years.

The character has received a visual refresh via a new puppet created by special effects expert Greg Nicotero at KNB EFX. Nicotero also directed the new segments. John Kassir will reprise his original role as the voice of the Crypt Keeper.

FearFest programming will include marathons of 'Tales from the Crypt' and other horror franchises such as 'Halloween', 'A Nightmare on Elm Street', and 'Friday the 13th'. The lineup also features the AMC premiere of 'The Terror: Devil in Silver' and the AMC+ supernatural thriller 'Yaga', starring Carrie-Anne Moss.
