The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2 set to air October 2026

The second season of the TV anime ‘The Detective Is Already Dead’ is scheduled to begin broadcasting on October 7, 2026. This announcement follows a previous delay from July due to production circumstances.

New voice cast members have been revealed, including Akari Komiyama as Mia Witlock and Nobuhiko Okamoto as Scarlet. The production will see the return of key staff from the first season, including director Manabu Kurihara, series composition by Deco Akao, and animation production by studio ENGI.

A third promotional video has been released, featuring snippets of the opening theme ‘Kono Shinzou ni Hanataba wo’ by Kokoume and the ending theme ‘Hakuchuumu’ by Kagura Nana. To prepare for the new season, a marathon broadcast of the first season's episodes will be held on AT-X on October 3.
