The Devil Wears Prada franchise adds 2026 sequel and New York immersive exhibit
A sequel to the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada is slated for release in 2026. The movie brings back Meryl Streep as the formidable editor Miranda Priestly and Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs, with a plot that sees the Runway magazine staff dismissed and the owner hiring Andy as features editor amid a scandal involving a sweatshop story.
From July 29 to August 9, the Museum of Arts and Design in New York will host an immersive pop‑up experience inspired by the film. The exhibit recreates Miranda’s office, displays original costumes worn by Streep, Hathaway and Emily Blunt, and offers styling consultations, runway‑walking lessons and photo‑shoot stations, allowing visitors to step into the world of Runway.
Both the upcoming sequel and the New York exhibition highlight the lasting cultural impact of the franchise twenty years after the original film’s debut.
