The Dig themed cafe to open in Cirencester

The Dig, a new family attraction combining a cafe with digger and dinosaur themes, is scheduled to open in Cirencester’s Woolmarket on Monday, October 19. Founded by Catherine Winterburn and Bethyn Barrass, the venue aims to provide an immersive experience that goes beyond a standard play area.

The facility will feature two large indoor construction pits where up to 10 visitors can operate realistic radio-controlled excavators and dump trucks in 30-minute sessions. Additionally, guests can participate in dinosaur fossil excavations using tools and brushes to uncover fossils buried in sand. The cafe portion of the venue will serve locally sourced coffee, tea, cakes, and other refreshments.
