The End of Oak Street 4K UHD release reviewed

The sci-fi thriller “The End of Oak Street,” written and directed by David Robert Mitchell, has been released on 4K UHD and Digital HD. Set in 1982, the film follows the Platt family in a Michigan suburb that is suddenly transported to a prehistoric era filled with dinosaurs.

Starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, the story blends science fiction with family drama, focusing on the tensions between Denise, an aspiring novelist, and Greg, who is struggling with job loss. The narrative explores how the family must navigate deadly prehistoric threats while dealing with internal conflicts such as potential divorce.

Critics describe the film as a heartfelt story that uses dinosaur encounters to bring a fractured family closer together. While noted for having underwhelming box office numbers, the film has received positive reception for its dark humor, special effects, and its departure from the “Jurassic World” franchise style.
