The End of Oak Street sci-fi thriller features Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor

The sci-fi thriller “The End of Oak Street,” directed by David Robert Mitchell, has entered theaters featuring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor. Set in 1982 suburbia, the film follows a family whose neighborhood is transported through a time-space wormhole into a prehistoric landscape inhabited by dinosaurs.

Editor John Axelrad, who worked on the film to maintain a tight 93-minute runtime, described the editing process as a way to “slowly chisel away at the narrative to keep things moving.” The film has received mixed reactions; while critics have been largely positive, some audience members have expressed conflicting views regarding pacing and plot elements.
