The End of the Sun to launch on Xbox Series X|S in November

The End of the Sun, a first-person adventure game inspired by Slavic mythology, is scheduled to launch on Xbox Series X|S on November 4, 2026. Published by IMGN. PRO and developed by the Polish studio The End of the Sun Forge, the title has been in development for eight years by a two-person team.

Players assume the role of an ashter, a Slavic priest with time-traveling abilities, to explore a mysterious village. The gameplay focuses on exploration and uncovering the interconnected stories of inhabitants across different seasons and generations. To ensure historical and cultural authenticity, the developers utilized photogrammetry to recreate real buildings and historical objects, drawing on extensive research into regional traditions and material culture.
