The Flaming Lips announce 20th anniversary reissue of At War With the Mystics

The Flaming Lips are releasing a 20th-anniversary anthology box set for their 2006 album, At War With the Mystics. Scheduled for release on November 13, the collection will be available as a 6xLP or 6xCD set.

The reissue features the original album alongside dozens of rarities, including more than 30 previously unreleased tracks such as demos, B-sides, shelved songs, and soundtrack contributions. The set also includes two live albums: ‘U. F. O. s at the Zoo’ and ‘Live at the Hollywood Bowl’.

This release follows the departure of long-time multi-instrumentalist and co-songwriter Steve Drozd, who left the band due to a decision to stop touring. The band has recently shared a sparse demo of the song ‘The Sound of Failure’ as a preview of the archival material.
