The Gilded Age: Two supporting characters will not return for Season 4

Two supporting characters will not return for the fourth season of the HBO period drama ‘The Gilded Age’. Patrick Page, who portrays George Russell’s secretary Richard Clay, and Sullivan Jones, who plays New York Globe publisher T. Thomas Fortune, are both departing the series.

Richard Clay’s exit follows a dramatic storyline in Season 3 involving his firing by George Russell and his subsequent employment with a business rival. His character was also a prime suspect in the attempted murder of George Russell at the end of the previous season. T. Thomas Fortune, who served as a mentor and romantic interest to Peggy Scott, is also leaving, which aligns with Peggy’s engagement to Dr. William Kirkland.

While both actors are not appearing in the upcoming season, there is a possibility they may return for guest appearances in future seasons. The fourth season is scheduled to return on Sunday, November 1, featuring several new cast members including Taylor Trensch, Dennis Haysbert, and Jim Gaffigan.
