The GlenAllachie releases 21-year-old Cask Strength Batch 7

The GlenAllachie distillery has released the seventh batch of its 21-year-old Cask Strength single malt Speyside whisky. Positioned at the top of the distillery’s core collection, the expression is bottled at a natural cask strength of 51.9% ABV, is non-chill filtered, and contains no added coloring.

Master Distiller Billy Walker oversaw the production, which utilizes a process of initial aging in bourbon barrels followed by extended secondary maturation in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons and hogsheads from Spain. The whisky is described as having an opaque mahogany color with flavor profiles including espresso, dark chocolate, forest fruits, spiced plums, baked ginger, and mocha.

The release is available via the distillery and online with a UK recommended retail price of £297.99, with a global rollout expected in the coming weeks.
