The Global City introduces SOHO commercial space in Ho Chi Minh City

The SOHO commercial zone at The Global City in eastern Ho Chi Minh City is designed to integrate traditional Vietnamese trading characteristics with international urban planning standards.

The development draws inspiration from two historical commercial models in Saigon: the checkerboard street structure of the Ban Co area, which facilitates high connectivity and pedestrian flow, and the specialized commercial clusters of Cho Lon, where adjacent businesses create synergistic trading hubs. By applying these principles, the SOHO district aims to replicate the vibrant, community-driven street life of traditional Vietnamese commerce within a contemporary, modern urban framework.
