The Grand Tour introduces new hosts following original trio's departure

The motoring series The Grand Tour is returning to Amazon Prime Video with a new presenting lineup following the 2024 departure of original hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. The new trio consists of social media personality Francis Bourgeois and YouTube creators James Engelsman and Thomas Holland, known for their channel Throttle House.

The new presenters met with the former hosts to receive advice and their blessing. During a meeting at Jeremy Clarkson’s Cotswolds pub, the trio received guidance on maintaining car enthusiasm and avoiding contrivance. While the original hosts will make guest appearances in the upcoming season, the new hosts aim to establish their own identities rather than strictly mimicking their predecessors.

The casting process involved extensive chemistry testing to ensure the new group could carry the show’s legacy. The upcoming series includes challenges ranging from crossing the Angolan desert to testing vehicles in California.
