The Grand Tour reboots with new hosts and Clarkson endorsement

The automotive entertainment series The Grand Tour is entering a new era on Prime Video with a fresh lineup of presenters. Replacing original hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are Thomas Holland, James Engelsman, and Francis Bourgeois.

Former host Jeremy Clarkson has endorsed the new team, making a cameo in the first episode at Diddly Squat Farm to offer his blessing. The new presenters, including YouTubers from the channel Throttle House and social media personality Francis Bourgeois, noted that the original trio provided supportive advice, encouraging them to make the show their own.

While the reboot maintains the franchise’s core elements of high-speed driving and automotive challenges, critics note the new hosts are working to establish a distinct identity separate from their predecessors.
