The Grand Tour returns with new trio of hosts on September 4
Prime Video has confirmed that the motoring series The Grand Tour will resume on September 4, 2026, with a six‑episode season. The new lineup features Thomas Holland and James Engelsman – the duo behind the YouTube channel Throttle House – alongside social‑media personality Francis Bourgeois, a former Rolls‑Royce engineer turned train‑spotting star. The launch is promoted with the slogan “Same show. New knobs.”
The revived series will travel to diverse locations, including the Angolan desert, Malaysia’s car‑culture hotspots and California. Former host Jeremy Clarkson appeared in a brief skit on the show’s social channels to introduce the new presenters. The Grand Tour, Prime Video’s most‑watched unscripted UK series, had been off‑air since the final episode with the original trio (Clarkson, Hammond, May) aired in September 2024.
The new hosts promise a mix of humor and daring challenges, aiming to retain the spirit of the original while carving out their own identity.
