Nigella Lawson joins The Great British Bake Off as new judge
Nigella Lawson is set to join the judging panel of The Great British Bake Off, replacing Dame Prue Leith, who announced her departure from the Channel 4 series in January. Lawson, 66, expressed both excitement and nerves regarding the role, describing the program as a ‘national treasure’ and noting the daunting task of following in the footsteps of previous judges Mary Berry and Prue Leith.
Filming for the upcoming season has concluded. The new lineup features Lawson alongside fellow judge Paul Hollywood and presenters Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond. Channel 4 and Love Productions have released first-look images of the cast together in the iconic baking tent to mark the beginning of this new chapter.
The new series is scheduled to premiere next month.
