The Great Escape set for 2026 TVING season as Kang Ho Dong departs

South Korean adventure variety show “The Great Escape” will return for a new season in the second half of 2026 on the streaming platform TVING. The upcoming lineup retains original members Kim Jong‑Min, Kim Dong‑Hyun, Yoo Byung‑Jae and Super Junior’s Shindong, while adding SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and Ko Kyung Pyo as fresh faces. Original host Kang Ho‑Dong, who has been with the program since its 2018 debut, announced he will not return, citing eight years on the show and offering a supportive farewell message to the new cast.

Kang Ho‑Dong praised the series, saying every moment brought him joy and confidence that the remaining members and juniors possess “greater imagination and wisdom.” He encouraged viewers to remember that “there’s always a clue somewhere,” and expressed optimism for the show’s continued success under the new lineup.
