The Gruffalo series returns with new book ‘The Gruffalo’s Granny’

Author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler have released ‘The Gruffalo’s Granny’, the third installment in the world-famous children's book series. This marks the first new adventure in the franchise for over 20 years.

In this new story, the Gruffalo and the Gruffalo child search for ingredients to prepare a feast for the visiting Gruffalo Granny. The clever mouse once again finds herself in danger of being eaten and must use her wits and storytelling skills to outsmart the hungry monsters. The book emphasizes themes of bravery and the idea that intelligence can be more powerful than physical strength.

The release has seen significant commercial success. In the United Kingdom, ‘Gruffalo Granny’ sold approximately 230,000 copies within its first two weeks of release. The publisher, Beltz & Gelberg, has prepared translations for the new title in 41 languages.
