The Guardian names 60 top global football talents for Next Generation 2026

The Guardian has released its annual ‘Next Generation’ list, identifying 60 of the world’s most promising young football talents born in 2009. The selection highlights several players from various European leagues.

Among the featured players are Slovenian talents Tian Nai Koren and Miha Matjašec. Koren, who plays for Club Brugge in Belgium, has been noted for his technical skills and creativity. Matjašec, currently playing for FC Liefering in the Red Bull Salzburg system, is recognized for his versatility across the pitch.

Additionally, the list includes Adam Huram, a 17-year-old Ukrainian attacking midfielder playing for Hajduk Split. Huram, who moved to Split from Shakhtar Donetsk, is described as a creative and modern player with strong technical qualities and defensive contributions.
