The Guild revitalizes GraphQL Config and GraphQL CLI tools

The Guild has announced a major revitalization of key GraphQL ecosystem tools, including GraphQL Config and GraphQL CLI, following their transfer from Prisma. Both projects are currently in an alpha phase.

The rewritten GraphQL Config aims to provide a unified, platform-agnostic configuration standard for various GraphQL tools. It now supports JSON, YAML, and JavaScript formats and has already integrated configurations from GraphQL Inspector and GraphQL CLI. The project seeks to expand compatibility with tools such as Apollo, AppSync, and Relay.

Similarly, the GraphQL CLI has been completely rewritten to improve developer workflows. The tool now features a plugin system and the ability to generate full-stack applications from a GraphQL schema model in approximately two minutes. The goal is to provide a vendor-agnostic entry point for building and deploying GraphQL-enabled applications while encouraging community collaboration.
