The Hague hosts roundtable on climate change and displacement

Diplomatic, academic, and NGO sectors convened in The Hague for a pre-COP roundtable focused on the intersection of climate change and human displacement. The event was jointly hosted by the The Hague Humanitarian Studies Centre, the International Institute of Social Studies, and the Embassy of Bangladesh.

Discussions centered on climate adaptation strategies, specifically regarding riverine communities in Bangladesh. Participants explored opportunities for joint action, including the sharing of technical and cultural knowledge to support populations displaced by climate-related hazards. The roundtable also addressed climate finance, conflict, and the inefficiencies within the COP process.
